Racing Sports | Speed Sports

Racing sports involves athletes competing against each other speed challenges that may involve a set objective or are based on beating other athletes by finishing the race in the shortest amount of time. Ancient Greece has the earliest records of racing sports which involved only men who were running against one another while vying for the first position. Today, racing sports includes all sexes and is more varied with diverse options of racing types involving running, swimming, cars, bicycles, horses, airplanes, boats, and others. Racing sports have also expanded to include other skills such as eating, reading, and an a large variety of challenges in digital entertainment such as video games and virtual reality.

Pool Ladders

Pool Ladders are explicitly designed to help swimmers access a pool and avoid jumping over an above-ground pool. They are convenient, provide safety, and preserve your pool walls. These ladders come in various sizes and shapes depending on how tall your pool is, your deck, and other physical structures around your pool. Your weight, durability, and who will use the pool ladder (adults or children) are the major factors to look for before acquiring a pool ladder. The pool ladders you may use for your pool or see in pools include A-Frame Ladders, Deck Ladders, and In-Pool Steps.

50m Ten Lane Olympic Swimming Pool

The 50m Ten Lane Olympic Swimming Pool may also be called “Long Course,” spotting movable bulkheads that can divide the pool into sections or be moved from one position to another, creating varying course lengths for competitors/competitions. These swimming pools replaced the 25m eight lane swimming pool in Olympic and World Championship Games, with impressive results as their large size and more lanes assisted swimmers in absorbing waves and reducing resistance. Besides, their increased depth reduced hydrodynamic drag for swimmers. The Aberdeen Aquatic Center is an example of a 50m ten lane Olympic swimming pool.
