Harry Potter Wizarding Houses

There are four wizarding houses at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff and Slytherin. When new students arrive at Hogwarts, the Sorting Hat is placed on their head and the student is then placed in one of the four Hogwarts wizarding houses. Each house takes in students with various traits. Gryffindor’s are known for their bravery, Ravenclaws for their intelligence, Hufflepuff’s for their kindness and Slytherins for their ambitious natures.

The house is the student’s home during their time at Hogwarts. When students do something well, they are awarded with house points. If they do something bad, points are removed. The house with the greatest number of points at the end of the school year wins the House Cup.
