Twisting Yoga Poses
Twisting yoga poses are aimed to restore the natural range of motion from the spine, massage the organs, and stimulate circulation. The ‘twist’ term is given to any pose that requires a rotation of the torso. Through their motion twisting yoga poses rotate the spine and stretch the muscles at the back of the body.
The benefits of twisting yoga poses include improving energy levels and digestion. They are also good to place in sequences after going through forward bending or backbend yoga poses.
