BenQ is recognized for being the world’s No. 1-selling DLP projector brand. BenQ was originally founded in 1984 as part of Acer Peripherals Inc. Later in 2001, BenQ spun off from Acer in order to create its own separate brand and company. BenQ is currently led by Kuen-Yao (K.Y.) Lee and is listed as the Taiwan Stock Exchange.
