Aldous Huxley was an English writer acknowledged as one of the most advanced intellectuals of his lifetime. His most famous books include Brave New World, Island, and Point Counter Point. Aldous Huxley wrote almost 50 books, essays, narratives, and poems throughout his lifetime. Aldous Huxley attended Balliol College in Oxford, England, and received an undergraduate degree in English literature. Aldous Huxley was nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature 9 times and was also elected to become the Companion of Literature by the Royal Society of Literature in 1962. Aldous Huxley died on November 22, 1963.
