Description
Description

Nicknamed “Lady Lindy,” Amelia Earhart was an American aviation pioneer who is known for being the first female aviator to fly nonstop across the Atlantic as well as setting other records. She had achieved celebrity status before this when she was noted for being the first female passenger on a transatlantic flight joining Wilmer Stultz. She would become a best-selling author, writing about her flying experiences. She mysteriously disappeared on a flight over the central Pacific Ocean in 1937. Although officially declared dead later in 1939, investigations, conspiracies, and general public interest over her disappearance still continue on.
