Andy Warhol

Dimensioned elevation drawings of Andy Warhol with height measurements

Andy Warhol is the founding father of Pop Art. He was inspired by everyday consumerism, culture and celebrity. His most famous works include the Campbell Soup Can series, Coco-Cola prints and his Marilyn Monroe paintings. Andy Warhol is known for coining the idea of ‘15 minutes of fame’, the notion that everyone will be famous at some point in their lives. Warhol was a producer for the band The Velvet Underground and created the now iconic banana cover for their debut album. Warhol was shot twice by Valerie Solanas founder of SCUM. He died from complications from these injuries, 19 years later.
