The Cabbage Palm (Sabal palmetto) also referenced as the Cabbage Palmetto, Sabal Palm, or Blue Palmetto is a species of evergreen palmetto palm. The Cabbage Palm is naturally found in the Southern United States, Cuba, Turks and Caicos Islands, and the Bahamas. The Cabbage Palm is saltwater tolerant. The Cabbage Palm grows tall with a rounded crown made up of numerous leaflets. The Cabbage Palm grows white flowers in large numbers and droop from the crown in clusters.

The fruit produced by the Cabbage Palm is a black drupe that contains a single seed. The Cabbage Palm is not in danger of extinction. The stem is usually rounded with costapalmate fan-shaped gray-green leaves of numerous leaflets. It favors hot summers and is drought tolerant and brackish water tolerant. It is also resistant to fires, floods, and harsh coastal conditions. The cabbage name comes from its terminal bud shaped like a cabbage.
