A Casual Table Setting is almost identical to a basic table setting. However, it has more tableware, such as a dinner plate and soup bowl. In this table setting, a dinner plate is first laid on top of a placemat. At the top right of the dinner plate, position your salad plate. Set the napkins on the left and forks laying on top of it while the knives and spoons go on the left side. Glasses for drinks should be directly above the knives. Extras such as salt shakers and pepper shakers may be placed in different positions, such as the top of the placemat or center of the table.
