Wood Studs and Drywall CMU concrete walls combine the strength of Concrete Masonry Units (CMU) with the versatility of a wood stud framework and drywall finishing. In this system, wooden studs are attached to the CMU wall, creating a frame to which drywall can be affixed. The space between the studs can be filled with insulation for enhanced thermal and acoustic performance.
