Born in Italy but moving to Southern California at a young age, Giada De Laurentiis is a culinary personality and best-selling author known for her cooking shows, Everyday Italian and Giada at Home. Following her television debut, she began hosting several different programs and events until eventually receiving a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lifestyle Host in 2008. Before landing her series on Food Network, De Laurentiis studied at Le Cordon Bleu and worked at several restaurants in Los Angeles. Giada De Laurentiis currently has three restaurants of her own-- two located on the Las Vegas Strip and one located in Maryland.
