Description

Gollum is a character in J. R. R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings. Gollum discovered the One Ring which extended his life by hundreds of years but deformed him in mind and body. Gollum’s primary desire is to possess the One Ring, and after it is taken from him by Bilbo Baggins in the Misty Mountains, he is driven to find it again. Gollum is recognisable by his hunched over figure, large eyes and missing teeth, and his distinctive way of moving and speaking. He speaks about himself in the third person and refers to the ring as his ‘precious’. In the film series, Gollum is played by Andy Serkis.
