Description

Hela is a fictional Asgardian goddess of death and Odin’s daughter in Thor: Ragnarok and the extended Marvel franchise. She was the first to use Mjolnir (colloquially known as “Thor’s Hammer), but was locked away after Odin became worried about her love of war, and then nearly erased from history after killing all but one of the Valkyries when she escaped. His death freed her once again. Like all Asgardians, she is stronger and lives longer than humans. She is also able to summon blades and is skilled at wielding them and throwing them at her enemies. She is based on the Norse goddess of the underworld “Hel”.
