Henry Ford was an American industrialist, businessman, and the founder of the Ford Motor Company. Henry Ford is credited with the development of the assembly line technique of mass production. He also created the first automobile that middle-class Americans could afford which revolutionized the automobile field. Henry Ford’s innovations converted the status of the automobile from being an expensive luxury item into an accessible item that transformed the impact of the car within the 20th century. Henry Ford is attributed with the concept of, “Fordism,” also known as the mass production of inexpensive goods. Henry Ford died on April 7, 1947 at the age of 83.
