Honey Ryder is a fictional character in the James Bond universe. She first appeared in Ian Fleming’s 1958 novel Dr. No, and in the 1962 film of the same name. She is played by actress Ursula Andress, who is widely regarded as the first ever Bond Girl. Honey Ryder first appears to the audience in the now iconic film scene, emerging from the sea in a white bikini holding two seashells. She assists James Bond on his quest to investigate the disappearance of a fellow MI5 agent. Honey Ryder is regularly voted the most popular Bond girl of all time.
