Raised in Oakland, California, Erik Killmonger challenges his cousin T’Challa for the right to rule Wakanda. He wants marginalized groups to overthrow their government and sends Wakandan weapons to various organizations to help. He is skilled in combat with a variety of weapons, and gains superhuman strength and stamina from Wakanda’s herb. In using T’Challa’s Black Panther suit, he becomes bulletproof as well. He choses to die rather than accept imprisonment.
