Loki is a fictional prince of Asgard and god of mischief in Thor, The Avengers, and the extended Marvel franchise. Loki is based on the god of the same name in Norse mythology and like in Norse mythology, he is Thor’s adopted brother. His resentment towards his father, Odin, for hiding his origin is what turns him dark. He trained in sorcery, giving him powers such as astral projection, shape-shifting, telekinesis, teleportation, hypnosis, telepathy, dimensional rifts and shooting blasts of energy. In addition, Loki is trained in the art of combat, and is skilled with hand-to-hand fighting. His weapons of choice are throwing knives.
