Marc Jacobs is an American fashion designer who is the creative director of the fashion label Marc Jacobs. He began the fashion brand in 1984 along with Robert Duffy. Marc Jacobs was also the creative director of Louis Vuitton from 1997 until 2014. Marc Jacobs is known for introducing the 90’s grunge aesthetic into the fashion runway. Marc Jacobs has grown his fashion label to include fragrances, cosmetics, books, and stationery launches. Marc Jacobs has won various accolades throughout the extent of his career. He became the youngest designer to win the New Fashion Talent of the Council of Fashion Designers of America, in 1987.
