Description

Best known as an Iron Chef on both the Japanese cooking show and American spinoff, Masahru Morimoto is a Japanese chef recognized and applauded for his unique take on cuisine. He received traditional training in sushi and Kaiseki cuisine, but found himself enticed by Western cooking styles, ultimately developing his own fusion style during his travels. From his international experience, he became Head Chef at Japanese restaurant Nobu. This garnered buzz around Morimoto, landing him a spot on Iron Chef the cooking competition television show. Following the show's run, Morimoto opened up his first Morimoto restaurant with other locations opening up later around the world.
