Before she died, she was known as Myrtle Warren. She was a Ravenclaw student who was tragically killed when the Chamber of Secrets was first opened by Tom Riddle (who later became Lord Voldemort). She died, right there in the bathroom, after leaving her cubicle. Myrtle is known for her loud wailing and swimming through the castle’s plumbing system, often popping up in other bathrooms on other floors. She takes a shine to Harry, who she helps on several occasions.
