The PlayStation, PS, is a home video game console that has sleek design and CD format developed by Sony. The PlayStation became the first game console in history to sell 100 million units all over the world. It was released in Japan in December of 1994, and worldwide the following year, 1995. The Playstation is part of the fifth-generation of video games. It was a competitor to the Sega Saturn and Nintendo 64. The PlayStation controller has 4 buttons instead of the standard two in order to explore more gameplay possibilities. One of the most popular games for the console was Crash Bandicoot (Naughty Dog – 1996). The Playstation was discontinued in 2006.
