Set of dimensioned elevation drawings of the PS4 Slim measured with height, width, and depth

The PS4 Slim was announced by Sony on September 7, 2016 and was made available to the public on September 15, 2016. It is a revision to the PS4 model with a smaller form. It has a rounded body with a matte finish on the top of the console and is overall 40% smaller than the original model. The gaming console is quieter, cooler, and thinner than the original PS4. It also uses less power, is a 1080p gaming machine, and has no optical audio port. It is compatible with all PS4 games, and has a slightly different controller than the original PS4. It is a great gaming console for beginning video game players.

The PS4 Slim has a height of 1.54” (39 mm), depth of 11.3” (288 mm), width of 10.4” (265 mm), and approximate weight of 4.6 lb (2.1 kg).
