Sarah Silverman is an American comedian. She was born in New Hampshire in 1970 and began her comedy career as a teenager, joining the cast of Saturday Night Live in 1992. Her self-titled sitcom, The Sarah Silverman Program, debuted in 2007 and ran for three seasons. In 2008 she won a Primetime Emmy award for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics for her song detailing a fictionalised affair with actor Matt Damon. It aired on the Jimmy Kimmel show, who was her boyfriend at the time, and became an internet sensation.  Sarah Silverman is a vegetarian and a Democrat.
