Description

Stanley Kubrick was an American filmmaker (although most his films were made in the UK) known for making controversial, but widely successful films. Despite being intelligent, Kubrick did not perform well in school as a kid and in an attempt to find something to interest his son, his father gifted him a camera for his thirteenth birthday. After that, Kubrick began shooting photography before getting into filmmaking in 1950 with his first documentary Day of the Fight.

Stanley Kubrick is known for directing films such as, 2001: A Space Odyssey, A Clockwork Orange, and Full Metal Jacket. Kubrick is also known for being a very intense director and demanding his actors to be perfect often involving many takes of the same scene, sometimes for hours on end.
