An entertainer is somebody who provides others with amusement or enjoyment. Entertainer is a word that can be used to describe someone who is good to be around, who amuses you or makes you laugh. However, there are also professional entertainers -- they work mainly across the arts industries. They include actors, musicians, dancers and comedians. An example of a really famous and really great entertainer, is Cher.
An entertainer is a person who entertains and can be a singer, comedian, dancer, puppeteer, or reciter. An entertainer’s goal is to amuse their public through their performance. Being an entertainer is not something you have to be a professional for or earn an income. An entertainer can be a family member who makes others laugh. As opposed to a performer an entertainer aims to please the largest amount of people possible.
The skills that you need to be an entertainer vary from the type of entertainer you strive to be, but some of the basic skills that all entertainers need are talent, discipline, physical stamina, dedication, good people skills, and creativity. You may also need great timing, memorization skills, improvisation in case of emergencies, and charm. You may need more specialized skills depending on what kind of entertainer you’d like to become.
An artist typically follows the simple criteria that defines their job and use their work to evoke human emotion. They are able to tap into the emotions of their viewers and listeners. In contrast entertainers tend to create a fantasy. In music entertainers follow trends and create catchy songs. Entertainers are able to capture the attention of audiences by making themselves seem more interesting.
