Description
Description

Also known by his nickname “Scarface,” Alphonse or Al Capone is one of the most infamous American mobsters in American history and especially notorious during the Prohibition era. His life of crime began at an early age, joining a gang as a teenager. He later worked as a bodyguard for bossman and criminal Johnny Torrio after moving to Chicago from his birthplace of New York City.

He took over control of Torrio’s bootlegging business and took extremely violent measures to expand it, doing so without fear of law enforcement due to establishing relationships with both the mayor and city police. Al Capone reigned as a crime boss for seven years total until being incarcerated and ultimately retiring following his release.
