Born in 1879, Einstein grew up excelling at both math and physics, starting at an early age teaching himself various mathematical levels and theorems. He found recognition as a leading scientist upon his graduation from schooling in Zurich and later received the 1921 Nobel Prize for his discovery and explanation of the photoelectric effect.
