Amazon Echo Dot (1st Gen)

Set of dimensioned drawings of the Amazon Echo Dot (1st Gen) measured with height and diameter

The Amazon Echo Dot (1st Gen) is a hockey-puck sized version of the Amazon Echo. Due to the smaller size of the onboard speakers, it is designed to be connected to external speakers, or it is to be used in rooms as an alternative to the full-sized Echo. Functionally, the Echo Dot performs the same as the original Amazon Echo: play music, make calls, send and receive messages, provide information, news, sports scores, weather, and more.

The Amazon Echo Dot (1st Gen) has an overall height of 1.5” (3.8 cm), diameter of 3.3” (8.4 cm), and weighs .55 lb (.25 kg).
