Description

The Boykin Spaniel is a breed of Spaniel that was developed in South Carolina, USA to hunt wild turkeys and ducks. As a versatile hunter, the Boykin Spaniel works as a retriever and upland hunter to flush birds into flight. Due to the variety of breeds that make up the background of the breed, coat length and density vary; it can be flat to moderately curly with medium length fine hair. As a friendly and social dog, the Boykin Spaniel is considered a good family pet. They can be easily trained, are eager to work, and are good with children and other dogs.
