Iterated exercises are distasteful for Canaan dogs as it usually gets bored easily with them. Since it is a pariah dog, it has high survival instincts hence can live a sedentary lifestyle. The Canaan dog has its origins from the Middle East and is also called the Palestinian pariah dog or Bedouin sheepdog. The dog got a primitive appearance but with a well-built medium size body, head with erect low-set ears, and a clean body with a dense, harsh outer coat plus a bushy tail curled over its back. Canaan dogs are excellent watchdogs for guarding camps and herds as they are highly alert, vocal, territorial, and loyal to family.
