Jack Sparrow, or Captain Jack Sparrow, is a fictional character and the main antihero of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. He is one of the nine pirate lords of the seven seas and is distinguished by his means of survival through cleverness and trickery rather than by sheer strength. He more often chooses the option of flight over fight when faced with a dangerous situation and lives under the impression that a pirate can also be an honorable man. The character is played by Johnny Depp who likened Jack Sparrow to that of a modern rock star.
