Cardi B is an American rapper. She was born Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, in the Bronx, New York, in 1992. She began work as a stripper aged 19, and gained publicity for her social media posts, rising to fame as part of the cast of ‘Love & Hip Hop: New York’. She has had three number ones on the Billboard Hot 100, and her debut studio album was certified triple platinum. Cardi B is the only woman to date to have won a Grammy for best rap album. She is married to American rapper Offset - they have one child together. She is a supporter of Senator Bernie Sanders, and has endorsed him in his Presidential run.
