Description
Description

Caribbean trumpet tree (Tabebuia aurea) in a tall form develops as an upright deciduous flowering tree with a straight trunk, elevated canopy, and dramatic seasonal blooming habit. The branches rise vertically before spreading outward near the crown, creating a narrow but elongated silhouette. Leaves are palmately compound with multiple broad leaflets that emerge after flowering periods. During bloom, the tree becomes covered in vivid trumpet-shaped yellow flowers that appear densely across the upper canopy.

Native to tropical regions of Central and South America as well as the Caribbean, Tabebuia aurea commonly inhabits savannas, dry forests, and seasonally flooded landscapes. The species is biologically notable for synchronized flowering during leafless periods, maximizing floral visibility to pollinators. In tall form, the tree emphasizes vertical stature, elevated flowering density, and strong seasonal transformation.
