Description
Description

Caribbean trumpet tree (Tabebuia aurea) in a wide form develops with a broad spreading canopy and expansive lateral branching that creates a rounded deciduous silhouette. Thick limbs extend horizontally from the trunk, supporting clusters of palmately compound foliage and vivid seasonal flowers. During flowering periods, the canopy fills with bright yellow trumpet-shaped blossoms that appear prominently against bare or lightly foliated branches.

Native to tropical dry forests and savanna regions of Central and South America, Tabebuia aurea is adapted to alternating wet and dry seasonal cycles. Biologically, the species is notable for flowering heavily during drought or transitional periods, creating dramatic visual contrast across open landscapes. In wide form, the tree emphasizes canopy breadth, horizontal branching architecture, and large-scale floral display, producing a sheltering and highly ornamental tropical flowering structure.
