Description

A firewall CMU block is a concrete masonry unit that is used to create fire walls. Firewalls are walls that are designed to prevent the spread of fire from one area to another. They are typically made of non-combustible materials, such as concrete or masonry. Uniquely, firewall CMU blocks have thicker walls and smaller hollow cores than standard CMU blocks. This is to prevent the spread of fire by slowing the rate of heat transfer through the wall.
