David Chang is an American author and restaurateur known for popularizing modern asian cuisine. Before starting his culinary career, Chang worked a variety of jobs. He attended the French Culinary Institute in 2000 and worked in various restaurants, but felt discontented with the current state of fine dining and sought to open his very own restaurant in order to bring an inventive menu and dining experience. David Chang is the founder of critically-acclaimed Momofuku Restaurant Group, a culinary brand with restaurants found internationally and noted for their exciting and sustainable approach to cuisine. He is also a television personality, creating and starring in the Netflix series Ugly Delicious, a show centered around history, travel, and cooking.
