Description

Friendly, versatile, and determined are just a few traits that make the Deutscher Wachtelhund an excellent hunting dog. It is also called the German Spaniel, bred in Germany and mostly known by professional hunters and gamekeepers. The muscular gun dog is medium-sized, longhaired with the coat having shades of brown and red and some white markings. The solidly built nature and strong bones allow it to retrieve game effortlessly. The dog has a rectangular profile, a relatively long tail, and fairly long ears that can reach the tip of its nose.
