Django is a character who has appeared in several western films since the 1940s and most recently in the 2012 film Django Unchained by renowned director Quentin Tarantino. In this film, Django is a house slave who has recently been sold and separated from his wife, Broomhilda von Shaft. Django is offered his freedom by Dr. King Schultz, a bounty hunter who is looking for information about The Brittle Brothers, Django’s former overseers. Django is strong, smart and vengeful. He is played by American actor Jamie Foxx, who received critical acclaim for his portrayal.
