Jamie Foxx is an American actor, singer and producer. He was born and raised in the town of Terrell, in Texas. He started playing the piano at the age of four, and became a part-time pianist at his local church. He went on to study musical composition at college. Jamie Foxx rose to fame after his portrayal of musician Ray Charles in the 2004 film, Ray, for which he won an Academy Award. He has starred in numerous other high profile films, including Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained.
