Frank Gehry Bench

Plan and elevation drawings of the Frank Gehry Bench with dimensions

Frank Gehry’s Bench represents his building precisely: a monolithic form as beautiful as his buildings. His benches were rotationally molded with bright colors inspired by his sculptures for Sophie Calle. His benches were one single form and consisted of resistance outer corners for limited breakage when in outdoor and indoor spaces.

The Frank Gehry Bench has an overall height of 17.0” (43 cm), length of 50.0” (127 cm), and depth of 20.0” (51 cm).

Benches are long seats designed to sit multiple people simultaneously. The most basic bench is one without a back, but common benches seen in public areas and parks usually have arm and back rests. Benches are versatile pieces of furniture and may be used in both outdoor or indoor environments.
