Frankie Dettori is an Italian horse racing jockey based in the United Kingdom, who is regarded by some as the best horse jockey currently riding. Franke Dettori first started horse riding at the age of 12 and won his first race at the age of 16. In 1990, he was the first teenager after Lester Piggott to ride 100 winners in one season. He is also known for riding all 7 winners on British Champions’ Day at Ascot in 1996. Frankie Dettori has more than 3,200 career wins, including becoming the Champion Jockey on 3 occasions and ridding the winner in more than 500 group races.
