Description
Description

Geranium (Single) (Geranium clarkei) is a perennial flowering plant admired for its delicate blooms and finely cut foliage. Its open, five-petaled flowers typically appear in shades of soft lavender to pinkish-purple, often marked with fine, darker veining that draws the eye toward the center. The blooms are carried on slender stems above a base of deeply divided, feathery green leaves, which create a soft, textured mound of greenery.

Native to the Himalayan region, Geranium clarkei naturally inhabits alpine meadows, woodland openings, and grassy slopes, where it thrives in cool, moist environments. Also known as Clarke’s geranium, this species is valued for its extended summer blooming season and its appeal to pollinators such as bees and butterflies. In its single form, it represents the unaltered, wild character of the species, offering a graceful, airy presence that blends effortlessly into perennial gardens, naturalized plantings, and informal landscape designs.
