Description

Golden Retrievers are a medium to large breed of dog bred for sporting uses. Named retriever because of their ability to retrieve ducks, birds, and other game shot by hunting parties for sport, the Golden Retriever is a friendly, intelligent, and devoted dog that is easy to train. Golden Retrievers are known for their water-resistant long-coats of flat golden hair and their propensity for play. Often trained to serve as disability assistance dogs as well as guide, hunting, and search and rescue dogs, Golden Retrievers are consistently one of the most popular and iconic dog breeds around the world.
