Canadian professional ice hockey player Gordie Howe is among the National Hockey League (NHL) scoring juggernauts of the century, thus nicknamed "Mr. Hockey." He played for the Detroit Red Wings, becoming a twenty-one time NHL All-Star and holding the NHL records for goals, assists, and total points until Wayne Gretzky shuttered them. Howe has won the Stanley Cup four times, Acvo World Trophies two times, and both the Art Ross Trophy and Hart Trophy award six times, besides an admission into the Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame and Hockey Hall of Fame. In 2008, he received the NHL Lifetime Achievement Awards besides being recognized for redefining a forward's qualities.
