Description
Description

The Hudson Stool (Counter), designed by Philippe Starck for Emeco in 2000, brings the refined industrial character of the Hudson collection to counter-height seating. Originally developed for New York's Hudson Hotel, the design is formed from aluminum with a hand-brushed or polished finish that emphasizes its continuous metallic surfaces. A gently shaped rectangular seat with rounded corners rests above tapered legs, producing a restrained silhouette with subtle curves.

Its durable construction makes it appropriate for frequent use, while the reduced height allows comfortable seating at kitchen islands and counters. The Hudson Stool combines the strength of traditional metal furniture with Starck's minimalist approach, creating a practical object defined by precise proportions and understated elegance.
