Description

The Ibizan Hound is a lean and agile dog in the hound family. They were initially bred to hunt rabbits and other small game. Smooth and wire are the two hair types of the breed, and the smooth coated type is more commonly seen. It is noted for its large upright ears that are broad at the base and frame a long elegant headpiece. Other traits include a long and lean neck, laid-back shoulders, and amber eyes with an alert and intelligent expression. The coat is a combination of red and white with the pads of the feet being a light tan. Ibizan Hounds are known to be intelligent, active, and engaging.
