Description

John Denver was an American singer-songwriter. During his career, he wrote and released over 300 songs. Some of his most famous tunes include Take Me Home Country Roads, Rocky Mountain High and Calypso. His career peaked in the 1970s and he became one of the most popular artists of the time. He was recognisable by his long blonde hair, old-fashioned eyeglasses, and his country and western attire. He was also a political activist and environmental campaigner. He died in a plane crash in Monterey Bay, California at the age of 53.
