Description
Description

The Kerry Blue Terrier is a dog breed that was originally developed to control vermin like rats, rabbits, badgers, foxes, otters, and hares, but over time, it became a working dog to herd cattle and sheep, and serve as a watch dog. Today they are working dogs and family pets. Kerry Blue Terrier puppies are born black, and the blue appears gradually as the puppy grows older; the coat is soft and wavy-to-curly. Other characteristics are a long head, flat skull, and deep chest. They are known to be strong-headed and highly spirited, and they need an active and skilled owner for daily exercise.
