Lizard Pose is an intermediate hip opener great for stretching the hip flexors, hamstrings and thighs. Some preparatory postures to Lizards Pose include Forward Fold, Wide Leg Forward Bend and Runners Lunge.

To do Lizard’s Pose, begin in a runner's lunge and bring the forearms down to the mat on the inside of the front leg. There are many variations to this posture such as using a block under the forearms until flexible enough for the full posture.
