Malala Yousafzai is a Pakistani activist and the youngest winner of the Nobel Peace Prize. She is a known activist for the education of children, especially girls, in her native Pakistan. In 2012, she defied the Taliban and demanded that all girls be allowed to receive an education. Malala Yousafzai was shot in the head by a Taliban gunman and survived the attack. She gave her first speech at the age of 11 and before her death threat, blogged about education rights. In 2013, she published her first book, ‘I am Malala’. Today, Malala Yousafzai continues to speak on the importance of education.
